  High powered Board of Pak Army has promoted three Major Generals to Lt. Generals on 18 th September; one each from Artillery, Air Defense and Infantry regiments. They are Tahir Hameed Shah, Amer Ahsan Nawaz and Sarfraz Ahmed. In my blog last week , I predicted the promotion of Major Generals in coming months. Three Lt Generals retired this month have been replaced by the newly promoted generals. The three Lt Generals who got retired are Muhammad Aamir, Chiragh Haider and Khalid Zia. The fourth Lt Gen who was to be retire was Nadeem Anjum, the DG ISI but he has been given extension in his services. Two more Lt. Generals will retire in November- December this year. I predicted promotion of five Major Generals out of which two have been promoted today. They are Maj Gen Tahir Hameed Shah & Maj. Gen. Amer Ahsan Nawaz .   Military has always played a pivotal role in making & breaking political governments in Pakistan. They have influence in every aspect of government ranging from development projects to economy, agriculture sector to industrial sector and internal affairs to foreign affairs.
